Snack Bar was founded in 2014 by two award-winning chefs, Mikael Gröndal and Linus Ahlstedt. They won the prestigious Gulddraken award in 2012 with their restaurant Chez Betty. Subsequently, they took the next step by developing high-quality fast food with a focus on French cuisine, particularly that of Provence.
Today, Snack Bar serves what many consider to be Sweden’s best kebab. Snack Bar was nominated for the Gulddraken award in 2015 and 2017, as well as the Arla Guldko award in 2015. Snack Bar is also featured in Phaidon’s “Where Chefs Eat,” a book and app that provides restaurant recommendations worldwide.
Kebabs, sandwiches, burgers, and salads - French style
The kebab is the heart of Snack Bar. Our signature dish is a kebab served in a thin galette filled with carefully selected lean grilled veal (112kcal/100gr), our own sauce blanche, and harissa. We also serve grilled baguettes prepared in the French style, filled with ingredients such as burger patties, cheese, grilled chicken kebab, lamb sausage, and french fries. These are known as Americaines. In addition, you’ll find excellent burgers, hearty salads, and tabbouleh on the menu.
All dishes are made from scratch with homemade sauces and the finest ingredients. The result is a satisfying, delicious, and healthier take on fast food, French-style. Of course, you can also enjoy an ice-cold beer or a carafe of wine on the premises. Or why not try a Pastis?
