Simulator golf – how does it work?
A golf simulator is a modern phenomenon that is used for fun or to practice golf indoors. Most often, the golf simulator is used to play 18 holes on a course, but you can also run games adapted for children and beginners, or use it as an advanced training aid.
The player hits a screen illuminated by a projector, with real golf clubs and golf balls. Behind the player is a so-called Launch Monitor which uses camera and radar sensors to read the movement of the club, how to hit the ball and the flight of the ball. The flight of the ball is then simulated on the projector screen in real time and the experience becomes like hitting a shot outdoors.
